I saw a friend that I haven’t seen in a month. Something was radically different about him.

He was brimming with happiness and I could see him shining…very radiant:

A halo of “FREEDOM and HAPPINESS” surrounded him.

He was openly expressing his opinions. For as long as I have known him, I have never seen him able to express his feelings and opinions without seeing him stumble or block himself in some way.

I asked him what he was doing…what was so different?  New diet? Meditating?

He told me he bought a counter and has been saying “I Love Myself” a thousand times a day. That’s it. Simple.

He says people treat him differently and more importantly he treats himself differently.

Needless to say, I purchased a counter myself and have incorporated it into my life.

When I started, I noticed a dam was being torn down. The more I chanted and did the mantra, the more I was able to allow myself to be happy with myself and others. 

I Love Myself

I was able to leave situations and toxic relationships effortlessly. Bad habits disappeared. My emotional suffering? POOF. Gone. Something was guiding me to a better way of living.

I will be honest and say, yes it was terrifying. I didn’t have a care in the world. Then I realized, it wasn’t so much that I didn’t have a care in the world, I was realigning with MY life’s true purpose and what I wanted to do. Self love exercises…whew 🙂

The voices in my head, the societal upbringing, was no longer present. I wasn’t beating myself up for past mistakes.

To this day, it allows me to be happier and keeps me in a flow of calm serenity and acceptance. I no longer care what people think or what they expect from me. It is all about myself and healing my wounds in a way that is gratifying in every way, shape, and form. Building a strong relationship with myself that is not dependent on anyone or anything. 

You then learn how to accept yourself unconditionally…

I am able to say how I truly feel and live in a heart centered mode of living. FREEDOM. TRUE FREEDOM.

Is it really that simple? YES. Love yourself. Love yourself till you can’t love anymore…and then…love some more.
